Electricity of Brunei

I have been working here in this country for almost 2 years since i came on January 2009 as a fresh graduated electrical engineer. I am working in Local Brunei consultant company name ZRJ Zakaria and Associates Sdn. Bhd. The owner of this company is former director of electrical services (Government company that hold electrical sector). You can name this Department of Electrical Services as Brunei’s PLN.

One time, Brunei Government speeded up their Development program specially in building services, such as houses, palace and hotels without any improvement of electricity capacity. After They realized that this development program need more electricity, the Government of Brunei was forming Berakas Power Management Company Sdn. Bhd (BPMC) to cater the left electricity demand that could not be provided by DES especially in Government building, and Royal family building.

Now, Brunei have 2 companies that handle in providing Electricity in this country
